Craft & Culture at the Cartier Womens Initiative Awards 2018!
Zhiwei and I are honoured to be a part of the Cartier Womens Initiative Awards 2018 celebrating women's achievements this evening. We'll like to congratulate all laureates on your well-deserved wins!
It never ceases to amaze how Cartier's wonderful initiative drives positive, women-led changes to make the world a better place. Set in the picturesque Capella in Singapore, guests were treated to delicious food and drink.
We spoke to women who juggled several hats, overcame problems and gender pay gap biases etc. These challenges did not cripple; instead these women came out stronger, more resourceful and more creative because of them! I'll like to congratulate all laureate winners on your well-deserved wins and look forward to the amazing feats you'll accomplish.
Key Take Home points:
-
Failure is ok and highly encouraged
Even when no one believes in you or your idea -
Mistakes can lead you to the solutions that solve mistakes
-
Be the Change you want to happen. Be a role model
Halla Tomasdottir ran for presidency to show her daughter that women can, even when men say they can't do a good job.
As female business owners, we hope to be able to make a difference in women initiatives in Singapore and hopefully globally! We are beyond inspired and humbled by all the amazing women we've met this evening. Thank you for affirming what we believe in--
Trust your gut, feel amazing!
