Kumquats are small, grape-sized seasonal citrus that are available during the fall to early spring. Not only are they packed with vitamins C, minerals, antioxidants, kumquats also contain flavonoids, carotenoids and phytosterols.

Kumquat's flavonoids have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may help protect against heart disease and cancer. Modern science shows that there are certain compounds in kumquats that support your immune system. Taking kumquats may also lower one's blood cholesterol.

In folk medicine in some Asian countries, the kumquat has been used to treat colds, coughs and other inflammation of the respiratory tract. Not only that, it has an auspicious name called "金桔“, which sounds like "Golden Luck"!

How is Craft & Culture's Fermented Honey Ferments different?

Our Fermented Honey Ferments are hand made in very small batches, by the same folks who brew your favorite Kombuchas and Kefirs! We use raw honey in our ferments. Each jar is fermented for at least 1 month.

There are 3 versions available: 

1: Jasmine Osmanthus 茉莉桂花柚子 - Fresh jasmine buds and osmanthus are infused with a citrus blend of pomelo, kumquats and green tea, fermented in raw wildflower honey, accented with edible silver leaf

2: Passionfruit Pomelo 百香果柚子绿茶 - Passionfruit pulp is infused with a citrus blend of pomelo, kumquats and green tea, fermented in raw wildflower honey, accented with edible silver leaf

3: [NEW] Pineapple Goji Gold Leaf 旺莱黄金枸杞 - Tender honey pineapples are infused with a citrus blend of kumquats, red goji berries, fermented in raw wildflower honey, accented with edible gold leaf

Consumption:

• dilute 1 tablespoon in warm water for hydration
• As a condiment (with wings)
• As a glaze over meats and fish
• in salads (like Yu Sheng / Lo Hei )

Set 1: Raw wildflower honey, Kumquats, Pomelo, Jasmine, Jasmine buds, Osmanthus, Chrysanthemum, Green Tea, xanthum gum (soluble fiber), edible silver leaf

Set 2: Raw wildflower honey, Kumquats, Passionfruit, Pomelo, Green Tea, xanthum gum (soluble fiber), edible silver leaf

Set 3: Raw wildflower honey, Kumquats, Pineapple, Red Goji, Green Tea, xanthum gum (soluble fiber), edible gold leaf

Set 4: Consists of 1 Gift Box which holds 2 jars honey (Jasmine + Passionfruit)
